If you were not able to see Scott Cohen on the Living It Up with Ali & Jack morning show, here is a short synopsis:
As usual Scott was both charming and cute. He appeared right after Tony Danza (Taxi) who had just performed a tap dance number with the hosts. When Scott came out on stage he did a little dance and the studio audience was standing and clapping. I couldn't help laughing. Scott is a great kidder. When he seated himself he said that he admired Tony Danza for his muliple talents. Ali and Jack said that he was talented also and asked him about his new series "Street Time."
Scott described how he plays a parole officer and Rob Lowe plays the parolee and that the series is about the dark side of the U.S. parole system. Ali asked what he meant by dark and Scott mentioned, which I thought was very interesting, that the show was created by an ex-convict who had served eight years in prison. The series is based on his experiences. Scott said that one of the plot developments involves Rob Lowe's character getting caught doing something illegal and becoming an informant. Scott and Rob are trying to bring down a major drug dealer. Now this is the part that is ironic. The major drug dealer character is played by a former DEA agent.
During the New York blackout, Scott was returning home from Toronto to see his family. Scott works five days on the series in Toronto and then returns home on the weekends for his family. Well, this time he got stuck at the airport because of the blackout. In order to contact his family, Scott had to borrow a cell phone from other stranded passengers. His family weren't at the house because they were busy doing other things. At one point, Scott fell asleep and when he awoke he saw the other passengers had cots and blankets and pillows. He had to search around to see if there was one for himself because they skipped over him.
On a sad note, Scott mentioned that his wheaton terrier had gotten hit by a car and on the day of the blackout was still in the hospital. The dog had to have hip replacements but is doing fine even though it is still feeling some pain. Scott had photos of his dog and Ali showed them to the audience. The dog is really cute and I hope it gets well soon.
Anyway, that's all I can remember.
